Independent CME MicroSyposium: Getting Comfortable With Gepants: A Multifaceted Review of Clinical Utility

Migraine is a common, disabling condition that is frequently seen in clinical practice. Despite its high rate of recurrence, evidence indicates that migraine remains poorly managed, with substantial variability in how patients respond to established migraine pharmacotherapies. Drs Ailani, Hutchinson, and Goadsby will present case studies to illustrate the clinical use of gepants as an acute or preventive therapy in patients with migraine, along with determining the most appropriate preventive therapy for a patient who is already taking a gepant as an acute treatment. The role of calcitonin gene-related peptide in migraine will also be discussed.

Independent CME MircroSyposium: Understanding Rett Syndrome Across the Lifespan: Current and Emerging Approaches

Rett syndrome is a severe and progressive neurodevelopmental disorder that is characterized by a variety of neurologic and behavioral features. Although Rett syndrome is a rare disorder, it is the second most common cause of severe intellectual disability among female individuals. Due to the progressive nature of Rett syndrome, early diagnosis is critical for patients so they may receive appropriate interventions. Join an expert panel to learn about the age-related disease progression and personalized management of patients with Rett syndrome and to hear about new therapeutic approaches being evaluated in clinical trials.
